Lege is a full automated pipeline that takes your scans of aged documents and selectively binarizes the text so that they are pleasant to read on any E-ink reader like a Kindle or Kobo. While also offering up to 90% output file size reduction.
The application supports multiple advanced output formats as well as extensively tested binarization methods. Including one winner of the International Document Image Binarization Contest.
Unlike the currently existing manual scan editor programs, all you have to do is load your PDF and start processing; the defaults are good for 80% of scans. The rest of the program's options can handle any document requiring special attention.
The design goal of the program is to get your processed book on your external E-ink reader in under 3 minutes after configuration.
